Being gay in Nazi Germany and occupied Netherlands
Based on individual fortunes, the exhibition Who Can I Still Trust (Wie kan ik nog vertrouwen? – site is in Dutch) tells the story of the persecution and resistance of homosexuals and lesbians in the Netherlands and Germany between 1933 and 1945. Using photos, film fragments and documents, the exhibition paints a picture of the political and social climate in which these men and women tried to survive. In interviews, they tell themselves how they lived in those times and what they had experienced.
